Philippe Heer
PPL(H), since 2016
Born in 1989 in Bottmingen (BL), I have dreamed of flying helicopters since childhood. My journey into aviation began with glider flying at the Segelfluggruppe Dittingen, where I earned my glider license in 2008.
After moving to Lausanne to study computer science at EPFL, I continued flying gliders while pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. In 2016, I obtained my Private Pilot License for helicopters PPL(H) with Mountainflyers at Bern Airport.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Swiss Alps from the air — a passion I am eager to share. To be closer to the mountains, I joined the Chablais Heli Club, where I continue to enjoy unforgettable flights across the Alpine region.
In 2021, I obtained my mountain landing rating MOU(H), which allows me to land on official mountain landing sites throughout Switzerland — a significant milestone in developing my alpine flying skills.
I am currently pursuing advanced training to become a professional helicopter pilot, with the ultimate goal of turning this lifelong passion into a full-time career.
